Desi Nachos

Pangs of Hunger...? Don't feel like cooking but feel like eating something good...? Try out the Desi Nachos recipe...Simple and Easy with ingredients, all easy to find at home...


Ingredients :
Grab a bag of tortilla chips from the shop
Processed cheese (grated) ............................3/4 cup

For Preparation of Salsa Sauce :
Tomatoes.....................................................2 large sized 
Onion...........................................................2 medium sized
Garlic...........................................................2-3 cloves
Capsicum.....................................................1 medium sized

Salt..............................................................to taste
Sweet Chilli Sauce........................................2 tbsps
Dry Oregano................................................1/4 tsp
Peppercorn..................................................5-6


How to Prepare :
1) Wash, halve, deseed and chop tomatoes.
2) Peel, wash and Chop Onions.
3) Peel, wash and crush garlic
4) Wash, halve, deseed and chop capsicum.
5) Crush Peppercorns.
6) Combine all the above ingredients together with the remaining ingredients of Salsa Sauce.

Tip: Let the Mixture stand for one hour, if you have time, else, leave it for 10-15 minutes.

7) Arrange corn chips on a baking tray, top it with salsa sauce and grated cheese.Cook in the GRILL (TOP) for 2 minutes.
8) Serve immediately otherwise, the tortillas will turn soggy.

TIP : You can also use cracker biscuits in place of tortilla chips, if you dont find tortilla chips nearby.

You could also mix baked beans in the salsa sauce (it tastes better..trust me!! ).

The original recipe is Sanjeev Kapoor's recipe. I have modified it a little bit for making the preparation easier and less time consuming.
